Marcos D. Rivera was a post-doctoral researcher on the Research and Program Assessment team in the Office of Student Academic Success. He conducts interdisciplinary, mixed-methods research with an emphasis on college student access, success, and retention. Marcos’ current projects include multi-year studies on assessing the impact of Open Education Resources; evaluating and optimizing academic interventions and programs; and strengthening open-access to selective campus transfer pathways. He was a 2016-2018 Holmes Scholar and a 2017-2018 OER Research Fellow. Marcos earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Educational Studies at The Ohio State University. Prior to completing his degree, he worked as an administrator in enrollment services and student affairs at New York University, University of Richmond, and Rutgers University-Camden.
