Understanding our Co-Located Campuses
Timeline
2024
Summary
Each Ohio State regional campus is co-located with a public two-year college focused on career-technical education. The co-located campus framework was established through the Ohio Board of Regents in the late 1960s to early 1970s, with the goal of ensuring a variety of opportunities for local students while avoiding resource redundancy. As the state focuses increasing attention on seamless transfer pathways across all its public institutions, it is important for Ohio State to better understand the academic offerings of each regional campus and to explore opportunities for stronger academic partnership.
This project gathered quantitative and qualitative data across Summer 2024, including through conversations with Ohio State and co-located institution leadership and staff during site visits to each regional campus, to help identify potential academic pathways and partnerships for each Ohio State regional campus and its co-located institution.
