Kaity Prieto is currently an Assistant Professor of Higher Education at The University of Southern Mississippi. Kaity is a PhD graduate of the higher education and student affairs program at The Ohio State University. As a Graduate Research Assistant in SSRL, Kaity worked with the SpringForward, Affordable Learning Exchange, and Ohio Open Ed Collaborative projects. Kaity holds a BA in a self-designed honors major and an MA in higher education and student affairs, both from New York University. Prior to joining SSRL, Kaity was a Graduate Teaching Associate in Educational Studies at Ohio State, where she taught Leadership in Community Service. Previously, she worked as a Senior Associate Director for New York University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, specializing in international and transfer admission, as well as alumni relations. Her dissertation research explored the experiences of bisexual college students. She was a 2018-2019 OER Research Fellow.
